Performance Auto Parts

Author: Marilyn Taylor

Many people decide to modify their vehicles with auto performance parts and power tool accessories. A number of reasons exist to do this, including making the vehicle run more smoothly and handle according to the owner's particular driving style. Adding high-end, quality parts to the car is also a great form of preventative maintenance. It can also add to the resale value of the vehicle.

People can find a number of different accessories, modifications and power tool accessories to add to their vehicle. While adding external accessories such as car bras, spoilers, rims, and tint are all still popular and easy modifications that people can make to their cars, many out there want something more. They want to add true auto performance parts to their cars.

The following are a few of the popular performance upgrades for which many people are clamoring.

Turbochargers and superchargers (also called a blower) are popular methods of adding more power to the engine. The superchargers are outside of the car, sitting through a hole in the hood, where they can intake more air. Because the engine is running hotter, however, it becomes important to make sure you have a way of cooling it. Most people add an intercooler to take care of the additional heat faced by the engine.

Besides adding more power to a car, most people will also want to make the handling better as well. In order to increase the handling of a vehicle, one can add stronger sway bars as well as good tires to handle the variables of the road better and isntall them with power tool accessories.

Handling and power are both important, but so is a vehicle's stopping power. If a car has a powerful engine, it is imperative that the brakes are just as powerful. Ceramic brakes are great because they don't conduct heat like metal brakes. This means that they stay cool and have more stopping power.

Adding new cylinder heads to let more air into the cylinder, as well as a better exhaust system are also very important in your car's performance. Adding free flowing mufflers, wider exhaust pipes, and headers can do wonders.

Those who love their cars and want to get the most out of them will find dozens or other ways to increase their car's performance. Just about whatever you want to do with your vehicle is possible. With all of the auto performance parts on the market, you can have the exact car that you envision.

Print Catalog Services: Print Resource for your Clients

Author: Carla San Gaspar

In this day and age where products are becoming more popular than ever, it helps a business to help their clients make informed choices. Through print catalog services, you can fully do this and make your clients more aware and even motivated to make purchases.

As an example, a mobile phone nowadays is a million things. It is a camera, a computer, a TV, an MP3 player, among other things. When buying a cell phone, there are a million things to consider, price, batter life, programs, user-friendly, style, accessories, technical support, etc.

Catalogs, Products and Tailor Fit Solutions

If you can and want to provide your customers or clients with a product that will specifically work for them, then catalogs are the way to communicate it better. As products are becoming even more complicated, it makes easier and convenient to assist your clients’ decision making process through informative catalogs.

Go to the grocery and see how many different choices there are for the same product. With competition, products are growing more and more diverse.

• And so, the more the customers need a resource to guide them in their purchases. With all the features a single item can hold, buyers are doing their homework even before going to the retailer.

• Print catalog services is the ideal resource for your marketing material. Create catalogs that would work perfectly for those products that need more than a glance to fully appreciate.

• It showcases the products, unique features and selling points. Sell ideas behind the product and sell them for their value and desired performance.

Catalog Must-Haves

1. It should have a picture of your products. Illustrations can speak volumes. Shot from a certain angle and with the right lighting, products can be made to look heavenly. The presentation of products often can spell the difference between being purchased or not.

2. Describe the features of the products in a way that emphasizes its benefits for the customer. Your buyers are looking for one thing: their satisfaction. Quoting specifications can be useful as it lends you credibility and it allows your client to compare these quantitative measures with other products (or to brag about them). However, it also helps to simplify such descriptions or specs.

3. Add the possible accessories or items the customer can purchase with the product. Show upgradeable options, and how to customize their products. Niche markets crave for specialized products. By including upgrades and accessories to basic products, it creates an idea for upgrades and special service.

4. Highlight the unique selling points. Your product should have something the competition does not. Show the importance of this unique feature and why this is very important. It could be anything, 100% locally made, ecologically safe, longer battery life, etc.

5. Point to where your clients can get additional information – a website or a toll-free number. You may also encourage them to visit your store. Invite them to look at the different features themselves. Use the catalog as a guide for them to know what to look for, and to ask the sales person.

6. Include an order form. Make it easy for them to order. Or point them to the website where they can order online. Get them to be excited about your services, and get them to buy before their short attention span kicks in.

Get in touch with a print catalog services provider and create the marketing material that would generate you’re the sales you need.

Chrysler Crossfire - Brakes and Brake Assist System

Author: Scott Byers

The power-assisted braking system provided in the Chrysler Crossfire is befitting to the performance level of the Chrysler. Undoubtedly, brakes and brake assistant system are important factor of a racing car like Crossfire. The brakes and brake assist system in the Chrysler Crossfire is appropriate for a racing car and also has set yardstick for others in the motor industry.

Following are some of the salient features of brake assist system used in the Chrysler Crossfire. The brake system of the crossfire has large diameter ventilated front discs and solid rear discs. The system is backed up by the highly sophisticated electronic wizards of Brake Assist System and ANS anti-lock.

The front brakes of crossfire have ventilated discs of 300 X 28 mm measure with single piston floating calipers. The rear brake discs of crossfire measures 278 X 9mm. These rear discs have opposed-piston calipers. When any set of front pads becomes worn the wear sensors fitted in the system illuminate dashboard warning light. The power assistance is provided through tandem master cylinder and single=diaphragm vacuum booster.

The Chrysler Crossfire has state of the art ABS consisting of four-channel, four wheel anti-lock of standard quality. This brake system is considered most suiting for the crossfire.

When a driver applies heavy brakes, specifically on slippery surface, the system gets activated and applies and releases the brakes at high rate. The optimum brake applies and release rate is 30 times per second. Despite the higher rate of brake applying and release the system prevents wheel lock up and helps the driver in retaining steering control.

The Brake Assist System fitted in the Chrysler Crossfire anticipates the emergency application of brake by the driver and immediately releases optimum available power boost to help the driver gain control over the car without loosing steering control. The driver may have usual human tendency of not braking hard or not breaking soon enough. The Brake Assist System overcomes these problems.

Like other features of the Chrysler Crossfire, its brakes and brake assist system is reliable. The system is of high standard quality technology and produces excellent performance even in adverse conditions.

Trucking Owner Operator Pitfalls

Author: Suzanne At Coops

There are a lot of good trucking companies out there. I have known company drivers for US Express, USA Truck, Schneider Trucking, Werner Trucking, and LTL trucking companies like Yellow Freight and Roadway Express that were really knocking back the cash. I personally have worked for Continental Express and Digby Truck Lines and did quite well. But for some drivers, working for someone else just isn’t enough…

The problem for some is that the lure of the open road tricks them into becoming owner operators before they are ready.

I have been an owner operator for nearly a decade and I would estimate I am pretty high on the food chain. “Making it” as an owner operator in trucking isn’t easy. I didn’t get here by luck, I asked a lot of questions and listened to what other drivers said their mistakes were. Learning from others’ mistakes has helped me avoid some of the pitfalls they fell into.

Pitfall #1 Lease Purchase

If you don’t have the cash or credit to go buy a truck on your own, you aren’t ready. Spend a few years as a company driver- I suggest at least two years- and get informed. Check with trucking legal resources like OOIDA about the problems with lease purchase deals. Many drivers have lost a lot of years and gained a lot of ugly spots on their credit report because they didn’t investigate the drawbacks and consequences.

Pitfall #2 Work harder, not smarter

The goal is to work smarter, not harder when it comes to being a successful owner operator. Cheap freight may get you 5,000 miles a week solo, but it also gets you a million mile truck long before it’s time. Choose your loads and the company you lease too carefully. You’re not a company driver anymore, so just because they promise you the miles doesn’t mean they’ll deliver the money. Remember, the more miles you run- the more fuel you will burn, the more maintenance you’ll require, the more wear and tear you’ll have on your truck and yourself.

Pitfall #3 Been There, Done That

Some truckers seem to know everything. Unfortunately for them, ignorance is bliss. If you want to truly get ahead in trucking, always keep your eyes open for new opportunities. Don’t quit your contract on a whim, but always know what your options are. Network with other drivers and try to sift through the bologna to gain as much information as you can. You never know when things are going to go sour and you need to have a back up plan or two waiting in the wings. You may find that you aren’t doing nearly as well as you thought you were compared to other owner operators out there.

Certainly there are other pitfalls out there. Just being aware that there are things to watch out for is a major step toward success in owner operator trucking.

Iphone Parts Replacement - Tips & Advice

Author: Mark Grey

Unfortunately, with the pleasure of owning an iPhone comes the pain of sometimes needing repairs, spares and replacement parts for the iPhone. Although up until recently this has always come at an expense higher than we would like it to be there is now an option to find your iPhone replacement parts online along with any accessories you require and the tips, advice and guidelines to give you the knowledge to fit the replacement parts to your own iPhone. This is the case for any repair you need from a case replacement through to internal replacement parts such as the headphone jack, battery, or even a complete screen replacement.

Having the ability to do this has three main benefits - firstly, the time saving factor; fitting the replacement parts in your iPhone, in most cases, can be done in no more than a few hours of your spare time. This leads to the second benefit - when you purchase the iPhone replacement parts online and fit them yourself it means that you are aware of the iPhones location at all times, this means you can be confident that your personal information stored on the iPhone remains personal. And the third main benefit of buying the replacement parts online from an official iPhone store brings with it a cost saving - not only on the replacement parts themselves, but with you gaining the knowledge and receiving advice to carry out the repair at home you save a vast amount on the iPhone repair also.

With so much to be gained from fitting your iPhone´s replacement parts at home, and so little to lose it seems a very realistic option for all of us - regardless of your technology experience, the knowledge you need can be read on the internet and some sites even offer step by step guides for the more complex repairs such as the iPhone screen replacement. This is possibly the most complex repair to be undertaken on an iPhone due to the need for dismantling virtually the whole phone in order to fit the replacement part in the iPhone - with this said it is not an impossible task for anyone providing you give yourself sufficient time and knowledge to complete the repair.

More simple parts to be replaced on the iPhone can range from a simple case replacement, a battery replacement, or even fixing, or replacing some iPhone accessories such as the headphones or the headphone jack. The list is quite comprehensive, but regardless of your personal requirement the option is provided to you to save time and money and maintain the security of your information no matter what iPhone replacement parts you need.

This information is bought to you by iPhone Parts Pro - The online iPhone store stocking a wide range of iPhone spares, parts and official iPhone replacement parts, and providing knowledge and advice to enable you to carry out your own repairs and receive the above benefits in the process.

Removing Brake Dust Buildup

Author: Shawn Low

When you operate a pressure washing business and are asked to clean machinery, show trailers for beer companies and trucks that haven't seen water or civilization for over a year, you develop techniques to get things cleaned, fast that others can't.

Sometimes its as basic as applying hard labor and hot water, and at other times, its using a combination of high or  low pressure and special chemicals and soaps.

The All Clean Service crew in Vancouver, has many times, cleaned an old machine which was to head to the paint department and when it was finished, repainting wasn't needed, Seeing this, the owner or operator, will say, "Can you guys get my wheels clean with those pressure wash machines?"

And the answer they get usually surprises them. Whether you use hot or cold water pressure washing, its what you do before you wash them with the machine, that makes the difference. A power wash will remove most of the black or brown colored brake dust from your steel, alloy or painted wheels, but there will always be a residue that wants to stay put. And regular soap just won't cut it.

Local auto parts stores sell a variety of wheel cleaners, and the foamy ones tend to do a better job of cleaning, than a light liquid spray on cleaner, but there's something you probably already have at home that works as good or better.

Believe it or not, your liquid diswasher gel or soap is dynamite for cleaning the dust off your once shiny wheels.

Put a little in a small bowl and wipe it onto your wheels with a paper towel or an old dish brush. Then give it a quick blast with your pressure washer so that there's no dried residue and you're done!

The Basics of a Nascar Nextel Cup Race Car

Author: Jenny Mclane

Americans have been known for their many passions which includes speed. This apparent need for speed has led to the creation of motor races which have been attracting Americans year after year. While the sport may not seem as physical as other sports such as baseball, football, and basket ball, a huge number of Americans are supporting sports based on the speed of automobiles. And when one speaks of car race, the first thing that comes to mind is the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series.

The said championship series has captured the imagination of millions of Americans who are known for their attraction to speed contests. The United States is also undoubtedly the biggest market for automobiles in the world which is a reason for the love of automobiles shown by Americans. As popular as the Nextel Cup Series may be, there are still a large number of people who are still in the dark what this sport is about.

Basically, the Nextel Cup is a series of races where the best race car driver, as judged by the number of points received during the duration of the entire series of races is crowned as the champion. The motorsport can be traced back to the days when races are between “strictly stock” cars or cars which have not been modified in any way. During those early days, one can bring a car to the tracks and race it.

Today though, the race cars used in the Nextel Cup Series are tailor made for racing. Although teams can tinker with their cars to make it better than the competition’s, NASCAR imposes rules to keep the cars equal. This year, four car brands have their vehicles racing at the series. These are Ford, Dodge, Toyota, and Chevrolet. The latter has been dominating the current series by winning nine of the last ten races.

While a NASCAR Nextel Cup race car can be modified for racing, they must have three stock parts from manufacturers. These three parts are the roof, the trunk lid, and the hood of the cars. Aside from these three parts, the chassis, the drive train, suspension, steering, and other systems can be modified to make the car so as to be suited to the demands of high speed operations. In fact, aftermarket parts such as the Pacesetter exhaust parts can be used by these race cars. While these systems can be tinkered with, NASCAR set some rules that each team must meet including the weight of the race car.

Currently, the weight set by NASCAR for race cars is 3,400 pounds. Another rule is that the distance between the front and rear wheels should also be uniform on all race cars which would compete in the Nextel Cup Series. The wheelbase of all race cars should be 100 inches. The fuel capacity of these race cars are also controlled by NASCAR. For most tracks, the mandated fuel capacity is 17.5 gallons. All race cars entering the contest should have the same fuel type which is 110 octane unleaded fuel as ruled by the sport’s sanctioning body. The cars’ top speed also has a limit which is set at 235 miles per hour.

For a car to be permitted to race at the Nextel Cup Series, its engine should conform to the rules set by the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing or NASCAR. For instance, electronic features are not permitted and instead, mechanical parts are used. This keeps the costs from ballooning for the benefit of teams competing in the races. Engines allowed to be used on race cars competing in the Nextel Cup Series should have eight cylinders with combustion chambers measuring 358 cubic inches. To keep the cars equal power output is set at a maximum of approximately 750 horsepower.

An interesting fact about these race cars is their headlights. Since these cars are raced only during the day, they do not need to have a pair of headlights. The actual headlights that we see in front of these cars are in fact decals which look realistic enough to fool the unknowing person. Another interesting fact about these race cars is that they have to meet a number of templates that NASCAR is using to make sure that the shape of the cars is almost uniform. The tires used on these cars have no tread on them which is the reason why the Jimmy Stewart 400 was postponed due to the rain that poured during the event. The absence of treads on the tires of these cars makes them impossible to race in wet tracks. The tire compound used on these cars’ tire is harder than those used by other motorsport vehicles given the fact that these race cars significantly weigh more.

The Great Kawasaki Oem Parts Online Shopping Rip Off

Author: Ted Cantu

Copyright (c) 2010 Ted Cantu

The internet moves pretty fast. So fast in fact that sometimes we cannot see the obvious scams that hit us blindside on a daily basis. Before you do anything online like buy something expensive or lay down your credit card I want you to stop and think. It only takes a second to make a mistake and when you make mistakes online they can cost you big time. There are a lot of new scams on the Internet that you need to be aware of.

Selling and buying Kawasaki OEM parts on the web seems pretty harmless. In fact, it seems like a normal thing to do and that it can carry very little risk. But the truth is there are a lot of things that can go wrong when you are trying to sell your Kawasaki motorcycle online. You might find yourself in a potentially lucrative situation. Every once in a while you may get an inquiry from Europe. It turns out that someone in Germany is looking for a bike just like yours. He is willing to even pay you more than what you want for it. This seems too good to be true and you can be sure that it is.

Even if you got a big box of Kawasaki OEM parts this can happen to you. No matter if you have a crate of Yamaha or Honda OEM parts there is a buyer out there looking for what you got. The transaction seems harmless enough. The buyer is willing to send over a bank cashiers check to cover the tab. When you deal with another country you will want to be very careful. It is very easy to send over a bad cashiers check and you're bank will most likely not catch it for a few months. Keep in mind that once they uncover the bad check that the bank will hold you totally responsible for the charges. You will find yourself paying out of pocket money back to the bank. The joke is on you.

Worse, the buyer has already arranged to have your Kawasaki atv parts property sent over to Europe never to be seen again. This can happen for cars and ATV's too. This type of scam is actually pretty popular and a lot of victims aren't too comfortable with coming out into the open. But more victims need to tell their story because this is a traumatic thing and it can happen to you. You need to take note of this scam because it is very popular and a lot of people are victimized every year because of it.

There are terrible rip off scams that happen every single month on the web. As a smart online web surfer you need to be aware of them.
